Two options, and a gap in the middle

Paul spent years as an energy and home-improvement consultant across Utah. The same thing kept happening. A homeowner would ask about their roof, and there were only ever two answers on the table: a basic tune-up that did not really change anything, or a full replacement costing tens of thousands of dollars.

That struck him as strange. Every other major system in a house has a middle option. You service a furnace. You flush a water heater. You change the oil in a car instead of buying a new one every time the engine gets tired. Why was an asphalt shingle roof the one thing you either ignored or replaced?

He went looking for the maintenance option. The technology existed, the economics were obvious, and almost nobody in Utah was offering it honestly. So he started doing it.

The to-do list story

One homeowner told Paul his roof had been sitting on the same to-do list as replacing the batteries in his smoke detectors. He walked past that list every day for a year and never touched either item.

We told him that one of those two things could cost him twenty thousand dollars if it kept waiting, and it was not the smoke detectors.

The other line Paul quotes is his mother's: if you're going to do something, do it right, or don't bother doing it at all. That is why repairs happen before treatments here, and why we would rather lose a job than spray a roof that cannot be saved.

The competition, honestly

The big names in this category in Utah are franchises. That is not a scandal, franchises can do good work, but it does mean a franchise fee sits inside your quote and the dealer is generally tied to one product line. We are local, we are family run, and we can tell you when the honest answer is a different product or a different company.

How new we are, since you were going to check anyway

Revive Your Roof LLC was formed in June 2025. We would rather say that plainly than have you find it out and wonder what else we were quiet about.

Being new is a fair thing to weigh.
